Our last beach walk on the mainland...


I had to drag my wife out of the swimming pool to join me on our final afternoon beach walk. She was daydreaming about being a star in a 50s swimming movie...





Late afternoon is when the fishing boats return and there were several locals waiting to see what the "catch of the day" was going to be.





I had seen this vessel leave earlier and I was interested to see if they had had a successful afternoon.





Judging by the bulging basket, they had...





A Heron in fly by mode...





Every time a wave hit this anchored boat all the birds erupt only to return the moment the disruption had passed.





I suspect that crayfish is on the menu for this fellow...





I noticed these on the way back to our chalet. Bougainvillea are stunningly colourful.
