Black and white in Braamfontein

Sometimes Mono adds an atheistic beauty to what might be a rather "ordinary" image

The facade of one of the old office buildings in Braamfontein

This hotel can be found on the corner of Juta and de Beer Streets. It is the oldest building in the suburb and is home to the second oldest pub(Kitchener Carvery) in Johannesburg!

Some of the decorations...

Exposed brickwork adds character.

and speaking of characters...

not a regular, but she together with her friends stopped in for a quick bite

busted...

"Let me tell you..."

Co-owner Chester is a brave man wearing a Sharks hat in Lion country...

This regular looks like a reincarnation of Springbok radio actor George Korelin...

"Cool Dude"

Entertainer and broadcaster, Citizen Jones, performs at The Kitchener Carvery every Saturday afternoon.

In a mellow mood...

Although he is a singer/songwriter, Richard entertained the crowd with standard rock/folk and even some country music...

"Bru, it's cool..."
