Long Beach, Mauritius...The village on the sea

Two of my trip sponsors were on call at Ambre Hotel...
The drivers and vehicles supplied by SummerTimes come highly recommended.

My last visit of my trip...
A brand new hotel that has risen out of the demolished remains of the previous hotel

I wish I could say that I took this from a chopper...
But in reality it is only a model...

The reception area...

It might look minimalist, but it is functional

Lots of water features...
The metal statues can be found throughout the property

The stairway to one of the rooms...
The wood is African.
Over time it will turn grey so that it will blend with the walls and the Volcanic rock

The rooms are 60 sq m and have MORE than enough cupboard space.
Shower, bath and separate toilet are off to the right.

This is the view from the balcony...
All the rooms have a sea view because of the way they have been built

Looking out to sea.
All the resorts I visited offered free "non-motorized"water sports

A fish tank in the Angels centre.
This facility is for youngsters aged 4-11 years old

The teens centre offers a variety of activities for the 12-17 year olds...
Allowing mom and dad to visit...

The Spa.
All the French products used come from the sea

Lots of volcanic rock has been used in the buildings

A snack?

The stand alone treatment rooms...

The main bar...
Although open on both sides, they can be closed if the weather turns

I liked the colour of the glasses at this restaurant.

Another water feature at the main pool.
This is heated during winter.

I do hope to come back and visit in the not too distant future
My thanks to Daren for hosting me for the afternoon, even though I arrived and left earlier than expected.
Mike, I will take you up on your offer...soon...hopefully
