In 1969, Richie Havens was asked to open Woodstock by playing a 15 minute set.
Three hours later he was still on stage as the second act could not get to the site
 due to the adverse weather conditions.
This was the final song of his epic set that went on to become the "anthem" of Woodstock.

I was lucky enough to interview him several years ago AND have him play live on my show
He died on April 22, 2013
The opening of my show was somewhat like that today...

However, Like Woodstock, the show did go on,
