Normally when I leave on a travel adventure,
I drive or fly from South Africa to the destination.
Not so on my Chobe experience!
A rather sparse Kasane International Airport.
However, friendly staff made up for the drab appearance and facilities.
A 15 minute drive from the airport brought us to this border post.
Although having only arrived in Botswana less than 30 minutes ago,
we were about to depart!
They are very keen to make certain that service levels are maintained,
tourism forms a large part of the income.
My feet on Botswana soil...
The thriving metropolis of Kasane!
At least there did not seem to be any potholes!
ONLY once ALL the paper work has been filled out
and the Namibian stamp been added to the passport,
was I able to board the tender boat and head to our overnight destination.
ICHOBEZI Safari Boats...
Our home for the next four days...
In order to get home,
I had to repeat the whole process in reverse,
before leaving from Kasane.
