A bit of this and that from my Eastern Cape trip

L to R: Lesley, Caroline, Me and Nicky
Just ANOTHER meal together...

The view from the boardroom at Prana
How ANY work gets done with a vista like this is beyond me

Seating is never far away and the use of "quirky" fabrics is comforting,
both physically and visually.

One of the best aspects of Prana...
stunning artwork from the owners personal collection.

Penkae is in charge of the Wellness Centre.
All the way from Thailand, she smiled and laughed a lot.
Thanks for the massage Penkae

Guess which breakfast I had!

A Pomegranate flower.
Part of the vegetable garden on the property.
Gives the Chef to opportunity to use FRESH ingredients every day

This is the beginnings of a stone labyrinth.
It will add another dimension of calm to this already peaceful Prana.

Trapped?

This is Tim's dog, Diesel.
I did promise to feature him in a posting...

King Williams Town...we went in one side and out the other.
No stopping to look.

A view of the Great Fish River as it meanders though the Eastern Cape landscape.

The shop at the main reception area at Kwandwe

Some of the decor from my room.

A comfy corner to sit and read in.

Freshly baked scones for breakfast...
they were still hot when we "attacked" them!

Even the butter at Great Fish River Lodge has the Relais & Chateaux insignia

Road works are being carried out on this stretch of highway and
we had to wait while blasting took place.
Factor this possibility into your travelling time.
We we stopped for about 15 minutes.

At least the locals found it interesting to watch

The long and winding road from Kwandwe via King Williams Town
back to the airport at East London.

Putting a press trip together is a tiring business!
Many thanks to Lesley Miles for putting this experience together.
