Celebrity Reflection, cruising in style

This was to be our home for the next 11 days.
Some ship facts:
Solstice Class
Date in service: October, 2012. That makes it the newest ship in the Celebrity  fleet.
Tonnage: 126000. How big is that? VERY big! Equates to 2000 Southern Right Whales
Cost: $750m or 167 Lamborghini Veneno Roadsters, the most expensive car in the world
Length: 319m. Longer than 3 rugby fields or 7 Southern Right Whales
Speed: 24 knots. That converts to 44kph or 28mph.
The slowest car in the world, the Peel P50, does 30mph.
Unfortunately you cannot make a direct comparison like that
The top speed of the Titanic was 27 knots, but is was shorter and lighter.

These flags were only flown while in port.
This was Deck 15, which is for relaxation...
Only loungers are available, with no bars or place to eat
It is also protected from the wind by glass panels

Quay side check-in.
Well handled considering the number of guests that have to board.

The guest entertainment area with one of the MANY bars at the far end

I thought that these were "real".
Actually they are specialty teas in interesting packaging

Elevators for the "lazy"...
The stairs are for those who have indulged

The Oceanview Cafe. Buffet style eating at its best.

Make your own pizza

Lots of carbs...
And if you are going to indulge...

Then you need to know that the gym is on Deck 12.
Readers might question why I keep mentioning exercise while on board.
This is the reason:

If you get to eat lots of these...

Then you are able to relax without feeling guilty.

The view from our stateroom window ( cannot be a porthole unless it is round)
The area looked empty, so we moved a chair and table into the space

Private spaces to relax in on the pool deck

These "pods" offer the same type of space.
Found in the adults only area

The Solarium...for adults only

The art on Reflection is very "different"...
I searched for a description of this piece,
and then I realized that it was the covering for a light box.
And I nearly bought it!

Some toilet humour in the "gents"...
Not sure if the "ladies" had anything similar

Sunset at sea.

"CHEERS"...
