Our final dinner at Sugar Beach was to be at Citronella's.
This is very popular with guests and booking is required,
if you do not want to be disappointed.
From the moment you arrive at the reception desk
your experience in fast, unobtrusive service begins
Although there is a proper wood burning pizza oven,
they do not offer an extensive range of pizza options.
Looking relaxed after several days on the island...
There is outdoor "private" seating...
You can also sit on the deck.
Or if the weather is not conducive to outdoor dining...
You can have your meal indoors
A well stocked bar is a requirement where holidaymakers gather!
And so to our meal.
My wife's starter was Spaghetti Al Cartoccio,
served in tin-foil.
It is offered as a starter (half portion) or as a main.
We were unaware of this fact when it was ordered,
so we shared...

And, of course, three different types of bread
Steak di manzio alla griglia for Carolyn's main course.
I took the advice of the restaurant manager and tried a fish dish I have never had before.
Sarechien all griglia with a most delicious pesto infused mash potato...
Also known as a Ruby Snapper, this fish is a native of the waters around Mauritius.
After King Fish, probably one of the best fish I have eaten
The beach in front of Citronella's was being used for a private function
The salad that we ordered with our main course.
Interestingly, no tomato or onion.
Often fine dining restaurant will bring a sorbet to cleanse the palate.
Here we got a cold towel to cleanse our hands!

Later in November there will be an International Fireworks display on the island.
I created my own "fireworks" with lights.
