Time to pack my bag again.
This time only hand luggage.
I was using this new low-cost airline.
Even though the wind was intense,
it was a great landing...
Behind these walls of the iconic Arena Theatre,
students will be performing tonight.
My hope is that this will be there first step into the industry.
In theatre tradition, I would like to say:
"Break a leg"...
I did not know that I would be doing a photo shoot
Luckily, I always travel with my camera gear.
This was the reason I had come to Cape Town.
Jayne with her cast.
Although they look jovial,
knowing my child like I do,
I have a "suspicion" that the play will be dark and meaty...
And speaking of dark...
Intense subject matter
Jayne was brought up in the "old-school" theatre tradition.
Hence, opening night gifts for her cast
And hand written "cards", in the form of old photographs, to go with them
I do hope that these 2nd year students keep these tokens
and remember this night in years to come
Not one, but two productions on the same night
Mark, the director interacting with his cast.
And the cast...
I got to spend some time with my daughter before opening night.
We spent the morning in Kalk Bay...a favourite for us both
What was she on the lookout for?
This slice of cheesecake at the Kalk Bay Cafe perhaps?
How many sailors have passed this lookout point at the entrance to Kalk Bay Harbour.
I wonder how many of those never returned...
How many waves have crashed over these surfaces?
And who placed this mosaic heart here...and why?
Not quite in the mood to perform.
Perhaps it is because it was only me taking a picture?
Do they only perform for crowds?
I really liked the cloud formation
Jayne and I though that this looked like a bulldog...
My experience with this carrier on this flight was a very positive one.
I do hope that they continue to keep the standards that I observed
and that South African flyers will become aware of the options that are available to them.
The current routes include Jhb-CT-George-Port Elizabeth.
My travelling companions.
Justin, the Gnome, Kwand-hare
and the "travelling heart" from my daughter...
"Travel & Things" was an entrant in this competition.
