Women's Day walk in the Park

Photo:
What better way to spend a day dedicated to women,
than with one of the strongest women I know...
my wife Carolyn!

Photo:
Although we have lived in our suburb for the past 10 years,
I have never ventured into this part of Delta Park before...
Today was the first time that I went through this gate
which is less than 1km from our house!
What did I discover...

Photo:
This wonderful dam!
My wife had mentioned it to me a couple of weeks ago,
but I had not been to investigsate.

Photo:
It might look somewhat bare right now,
but I should imagine that once the "green" returns
it will be spectacular.

Photo:
We found couples enjoying picnics.
Families enjoying being outdoors
and lots of dog-walkers

Photo:
There was even a family of ducks out and about.

Photo:
These two dogs were having too much fun.
The spaniel was not keen to get in,
but the retriever...

Photo:
There was no stopping her!

Photo:
A final view of the dam before we headed home.

Photo:
This awesome wall art can be found next to the entrance gate.

Photo:
I am not certain if this is by the same artist,
but it is alongside the image above.
We will certainly be visiting again!
