This is a new music venue for me,
as I usually cover an acoustic music event once a month.
But instead of being in Emmarentia, I found myself in Honeydew
A regular at the aforementioned acoustic gig, Bruce Dennill
chats to Jack Rahme who owns the Rusty Hook.
Kicking off an evening is never easy
and I have to hand it to Bruce, who took to the stage
and made the venue his own.
Being a solo act is never easy and perhaps
next time he might consider getting taking a leaf out
of The Blues Brothers and try to get the band back together?
But that did not deter him and he gave his all
to those who were there to support him
A wry smile as he forgot a lyric to song that he had penned.
But what is a word between friends and the audience was forgiving.
Several of Bruce's songs are available on iTunes.
(He has an EP entitled "Exit Strategy" available for download)
This particular one, "Centre Stage" has not yet been released on that platform just yet.
He plans to rectify that in early 2017
Unlike Bruce who only had to plug in a guitar,
Vern Daysel had to set up an entire band...which took longer than expected.
Was the wait worthwhile?
Most of the vocals were handled by these two.
Southern Country Rock at its very best.
My kind of music...
They did a cover of Wagon Wheels, originally part written by Bob Dylan.
This is their version:
There are several Vern Daysel videos available on You Tube.
I do hope that I get to see this band again in the not too distant future...
And in case you are not a Southern Country Rock fan,
they did an AWESOME version of the AC/DC classic
"Highway to hell"...

Like stability and affordability!
GammaTek is my powerbank supplier of choice.
One of my problems is often lack of battery power
if I have been using the camera on my phone.
I have tried many "powerbanks",
but the majority drain before they can fully recharge my device.
This is where this Powerbank has the edge...
it can recharge my phone up to 7 times,
before it needs to be recharged.
