"I want you"...
Andy looking like the old USA Army recruiting poster.
Actually, he was pointing at me!
Usually he forgets to mention me, this month he opened the show
by talking about my Blog.
Cherry Pill have not performed here for a while.
Kristel is one half of that group...
And joined by her partner Rory.
To paraphrase the country super group Alabama...
"If you want to play at Marks Park, you gotta have a fiddle in the band"
I do hope that they return sooner than later.
All the way from Oz,
Andy, I see that his guitar needs some of your TLC.
In a pensive moment.
This is what the evenings are all about...good original acoustic music
Orange is the new black?
Finishing off his set in style.
Up next, another "regular",
Unlike most of the musicians who either sit or stand behind the microphone,
Michael used the entire stage...
With a plethora of special effects pedals,
he made his guitar sound like an entire recording session.
He did an encore, and for good reason.
A great set and another musician that I would like to see back sooner than later.
And finally...all the way from Potchefstroom...
"While we wait", consisting of Miemie on bass, Wilhelm on vocals and Tiaan on guitar.
This group lived up to their name as the G string on the bass had broken
and the audience waited patiently for it to be repaired.
"How many musicians does it take to change a G string"?
Certainly more than 3, and as a result, Miemie decided to soldier on with only 3 strings.
The group started offwith a fun song, that did not quite get
the response from the audience that they might have hoped for.
A great song, but perhaps as a closing number?
I think that this look is as a result of the missing G string.
They did a blues version of the Johnny Cash song
"Ring of fire" which was certainly different.
A moment of contemplation...
The next event will be held at Marks Park on October 25th.

GammaTek is my powerbank supplier of choice.
One of my problems is often lack of battery power
if I have been using the camera on my phone.
I have tried many "powerbanks",
but the majority drain before they can fully recharge my device.
This is where this Powerbank has the edge...
it can recharge my phone up to 7 times,
before it needs to be recharged.
